Art Bash is back!
Each year we throw one of our best parties of the year to raise money for our scholarship benefitting an underpriviliged student striving for a communications-related degree at Western Washington University. We give local agencies a blank canvas and they give us art to auction.
This time around we're adding some ADDY spirit to the mix—and live art experiences!
Beer, wine, and light apps included
Top talent: ADDY Gold!
The top winners from the 2017 American Advertising Awards will be creating art for our auction based on the theme for the 2018 show: Seattle Retro.
The gold-winning contributors include:
New this year: BrushCapades!
Each attendee will receive a canvas to participate in an instructor-led live painting experience.
Get Virtual: Tilt Brush demo!
Try your hand at creating art in Virtual Reality on our amazing Tilt Brush demo stage provided by Portal VR.
Plus: Live VR art!
Local VR artist Michael Kacena will be creating a 3D composition—live on our virtual stage.
Featuring: Group canvas!
All attendees will have a chance to make their artistic contribution to our master canvas which we'll be auctioning off at the end of the evening.

Michael is a visionary artist who is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of new and emerging mediums. He is currently working doing sign production and projection mapping. His current projects include creating environments for virtual social networking events.
Statement from the artist:
I started out as a painter, sculptor, bronze caster, and custom fabricator. In order to express myself in a digital format worked in video production and motion design. I enjoyed the expanded reach of the medium, but longed for the hands-on part of the creative process. Upon discovering the possibilities of using tracked motion controllers to create volumetric environments, I realized that the methods for creating and consuming media would be changed forever. I am now heavily invested in bringing you this bleeding edge technology.
